Letting rates for self-catering holidays at Baker’s Cottage for 2020-2021
Our usual weekly changeover day is Friday and short breaks generally start or finish on a Friday (except for public holidays like Good Friday and Christmas Day). Here are our rates for typical holiday lets starting on Fridays throughout 2020:
Longer stays are typically 7, 10, 11 and 14 nights usually arriving or departing on a Friday. We use the cottage regularly ourselves so it’s unlikely that we would be able to accommodate a let longer than 2 weeks. We also offer short breaks from 2 nights. The price list shows rates for two popular types of short breaks:
Weekend break – stay for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Midweek break – stay for 4 nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night).

No booking fees when you book direct
If you book directly with us, the cottage owners, there are no additional booking fees and we don’t usually ask for a security or damage deposit, although in some special circumstances we may do. If this applies to your booking then the damage deposit is payable a couple of weeks before your holiday starts and we’ll refund it in full within 10 days of the end of the holiday (assuming there’s no exceptional damage or extra cleaning required).
No hidden extras
The price we quote you includes the usual utilities (gas and electricity) as well as a supply of logs for the fire in the winter. Bed linen, bath and hand towels for up to four people are also included.
A complimentary welcome tray with coffee, tea and biscuits as well as fresh milk in the fridge, helps you unwind after your journey.
You’ll have free access to the cottage Wi-Fi as well as exclusive use of the off-street parking area immediately in front of the house.
In common with most UK private holiday home owners we don’t provide cancellation insurance so I strongly recommend that you arrange your own insurance. In the light of recent events, please look for insurance that will cover you if you need to cancel all or part of your holiday due to Covid-19, either because you are ill or because your local area is in lockdown. Please note that if we receive official instructions to close the cottage then we will refund you in line with our usual terms and conditions.
