Fiona H – treasure hunt 2023

Always lots to do and see. We would recommend doing ‘Treasure Hunt Chester’, very well thought out and a good way to see parts of the city you wouldn’t normally see or notice.

Christine M – canal and walk

Canal architecture around Telfords wharf. The Meadows. Walk along the river at Queen’s Park to the suspension bridge, up through the Grosvenor Gardens and then to Waitrose and back to the Cathedral via the canal.

Janet & Derek W – wall walk

The wall walk was also very enjoyable, seeing the sights from high up… although we did run into the racing crowd at the racecourse!!!

Carole B – walking towpath

We loved our holiday in Chester, loved the walk along the river Dee into Wales (we did that twice) also walking along the canal towpath and city walls. Plenty of places to eat and good shops

Debbie J – river walks

House is only a few minutes walk from the river – very pleasant to stroll along the river bank – and decent walking distance to the town centre for restaurants, shops, the cathedral, etc.

Lisa S – meadows

We loved the close proximity to the Meadows and enjoyed some lovely walks there.
